Room heat pumps (RHPs) are poised to be a game changer for energy-efficient space conditioning in small single-family and multifamily residences. National interest in this new technology has brought together nearly 50 industry partners under a Room Heat Pump Collaborative seeking to drive market adoption of qualified products, making them identifiable, accessible, and affordable for consumers. A new website is now available to give Collaborative members and others interested in RHPs access to product lists, research, and updates on market trends and adoption.
The Collaborative is spearheaded by CalMTA, Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
